Exotic Animal Hides - Extensive Selection
Furug is proud to announce our new collection of exotic animal hides. We work with a tannery in South Africa and one in Argentina that provides us with the highest caliber of exotic animal hides. We DO NOT source any species grown for its fur. All of the species we import are not hunted for their fur and are a byproduct of the industry where they come from and all of the animal is used.
Furug holds a US Fish & Wildlife permit for legal importation of all animal hides.

Zebra Rugs: Our selection of zebra hides is unmatched. Our tannery partner selects the best A grade and above hides for us. These are Burchell zebra which are the only zebra species that has to be culled due to overpopulation, just like deer here in America.
Axis Deer Hides: Again, we work with a small tannery in Argentina that holds back the best grades of hides for us. These beautiful furs are available as single pelts or as axis hide pillows for beautiful home decor.
Springbok Hides: A small antelope native to the Southern areas of Africa. We import these beautiful furs as single hides or pillows.
Gemsbok or Oryx Hides: These beautiful furs have a more bristly coat with natural mixes of grays, blacks, and whites.
Impala Hides: Another small antelope with small black markings near the end.
Wildebeest Hides: Available from Furug in both blue or black wildebeest species. The blue has beautiful gray tones while the black has a unique blonde tail.
Blesbok Hides: Smaller hides with mixes of grays, browns, and whites.
Kudu Hides: Shown above, these medium sized furs are really soft with white stripes over light brown.
Hartebeest Hides: Gorgeous golden brown ombre to dark brown along the edges.
Bison Hides: Yes, we stay American with our incredibly soft bison hide rugs. These XL shaggy furs are veg tanned leaving them as soft as a blanket!
